Auto-trading algorithms - Pair Model, Hybrid Approach and Backfill Entry
Choose which model and rules each trading account follows - the Pair Model or one of the Flow Model algorithms - and what every setting on the algorithm card does.
Every trading account (the demo included) has an algorithm card under Trading → Settings. It decides which signals the account takes automatically, how it enters and how it exits.

Two signal engines
The algorithm you pick also picks the signal engine; the card says which one is active (Signal engine: Pair model or Flow model).
| Algorithm | Engine | In short |
|---|---|---|
| Pair Model (signal TP / SL / leverage, 12 h) | Pair Model | Every 30 minutes the Pair Model scores about 50 liquid USDT perpetuals, weighs long against short and many take-profit / stop shapes, and calls the set-up with the best expected result after fees. The account takes that call with the signal's own take-profit, stop and leverage, entering with a maker limit order. See Pair Model and the model picker. |
| Hybrid Approach Algorithm | Flow Model | Only the Flow Model's strongest calls; no LONG into resistance, no SHORT into support, no trade in a sideways market; a stop sized to the coin's current volatility, then an early profit lock and a trailing stop. |
| Backfill Entry Algorithm (pullback) | Flow Model | Everything in Hybrid Approach, plus the chart structure (SMC) and the UT Bot must point the same way. Instead of entering at once it waits inside the signal candle for a pullback to a better price; if none comes before the candle closes it enters at the close. |
| Backfill Pure, Backfill rules, market entry, Backfill VAB, Pure no Backfill, Pure no Backfill · fixed TP / SL | Flow Model | Variants of the same idea with fewer or extra filters, a market entry instead of the pullback wait, or a plain fixed take-profit and stop-loss. Mainly for comparing approaches on a demo. |
| Standard flow model | Flow Model | Every Flow Model call above your confidence bar, no extra filters. For comparison. |
The Pair Model has the stronger record of the two engines. If you put a live (real-money) account on a Flow Model algorithm, the card warns you and suggests checking the Signals page first.
Pair Model settings
When the Pair Model algorithm is selected the card shows its own options: hedge mode, EV size, re-check (push stop out), stop past the liquidation pile, flip to a stronger opposite call, trades per coin, trailing stop and max leverage. Each one is explained in Pair Model account options.
Two things are always true for Pair Model trades:
- the entry is a maker limit order at the call's price, which is cancelled if it does not fill within a short window;
- there is no time exit: after 12 hours an open trade's stop is tightened half way toward the current price and then trails the best price (the Time stop column shows trailing).
Flow Model settings
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| strength >= | How strong a Flow Model call must be, compared with the coin's normal bar, before it is traded. Higher = fewer, stronger trades. |
| ADX >= | No trade while the trend strength is under this (a sideways market). 0 = off. |
| stop x ATR | Stop distance as a multiple of the coin's recent hourly range, kept within sensible limits. |
| location filter | No LONG into a resistance zone, no SHORT into a support zone. |
| HTF trend filter | Trade only in the direction the structure layer shows across most chart timeframes. One timeframe disagreeing does not block; a split market does. Off by default. |
| candle range >= (Backfill) | Trade only when the signal candle's expected range is big enough - very quiet coins are skipped. |
| Flow + SMC + UT agree (Backfill) | All three must point the same way. |
| skip when UT move done (Backfill) | Skip the call when the UT Bot trade already made its typical move. Off by default: in testing it removed most trades without improving the result per trade. |
| take profit / stop loss (fixed TP / SL variant) | Plain targets in % of price from the fill; no profit lock, no trailing. |
Changing the algorithm
- Open Trading, pick the account tab, open Settings.
- Choose the algorithm in the algorithm menu. The card refreshes with that algorithm's options.
- Adjust the options. Every change is saved at once and applies to the next signal; trades already open keep the rules they were opened with.
Each account keeps its own algorithm and options, so you can run two demo accounts side by side to compare.
Good practice
- Start on the demo account and watch a few days of trades before you put real money on any algorithm. See Demo trading.
- Real-money accounts use exactly the same rules as paper ones.
- The new trades switch (or Pause new trades at the top of the page) stops new entries; open positions keep being managed.
- Backtest figures quoted in the app's tooltips are 12-month hypothetical backtests, not promises. Read the risk disclosure.
