Paying through BTCPay (Bitcoin or USDT)
Checkout, the BTCPay invoice page, paying with Bitcoin on-chain or USDT (TRON / Ethereum), what "processing" means, expiry, Refresh status and how the total is worked out.
How you pay
Every payment - a plan, the 3-day trial or a wallet top-up - is a BTCPay invoice on our own BTCPay Server. You can pay with:
- Bitcoin on-chain, or
- USDT on TRON (TRC-20) or Ethereum (ERC-20).
Lightning is not offered. There is no card processor and nothing about your payment is handed to a third party.
Starting a checkout
- Open Pricing or Account > Billing and pick a plan and a period (monthly or yearly), or Start the trial.
- For a plan you can enter a coupon code. The page shows the list price, any discount, the wallet credit applied and the total.
- Click to pay. You are sent to the BTCPay page with the amount, a QR code and the address. Choose Bitcoin or USDT and the network there. The price is fixed in USD; the crypto amount is locked for the life of the invoice.
- Pay from any wallet or exchange withdrawal. Send exactly the amount shown, on the network shown: USDT sent on the wrong network cannot be credited automatically.
- BTCPay sends you back to Account > Billing, where the invoice is listed.
If the total is zero (enough wallet credit, or a 100 % coupon), no BTCPay invoice is needed and the plan activates at once.
How the total is worked out
- List price of the plan and period.
- Discount: the larger of your coupon and, on your first invoice, the referral discount. They never add up.
- Wallet credit is then taken off the rest, up to the full amount.
- Total = what is left (never below zero).
The trial is the exception: it is always $99, with no coupon, referral discount or credit. See The 3-day trial.
Invoice statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| new | Created, waiting for payment. Nothing is active yet. |
| processing | Your payment has been seen but does not have enough confirmations yet. Not active yet; nothing to do but wait. |
| settled | Confirmed. The plan (or trial, or top-up) is applied from this moment. |
| expired | Not paid within the invoice window (about an hour). Start a new checkout; the amount is quoted again. |
| invalid | The payment was late, short or otherwise rejected. Contact support with the invoice number. |
| void | Cancelled (for example an older trial invoice replaced by a newer one). |
Confirmations
A payment shows up within seconds but counts only after the confirmations the store requires. For Bitcoin that is typically 10 to 30 minutes and longer when the network is busy; a low network fee can leave a payment unconfirmed for hours, so use a normal fee. USDT on TRON usually confirms within minutes; on Ethereum it depends on network load. The invoice reads processing meanwhile and updates by itself.
Refresh status
If an invoice still shows an old status after the payment has confirmed, open Account > Billing and click Refresh status. The platform asks BTCPay for the current state and applies it, including activating your plan.
Common questions
- I paid after the invoice expired. Contact support with the invoice number and the transaction id; the payment is visible to us and can be applied by hand.
- I paid a little less. An underpaid invoice is not settled automatically. Contact support.
- Can I pay for longer? Pay the yearly price, or pay another period: each settled plan invoice extends your end date.
- Receipts. Each row on Account > Billing shows the plan, period, amounts, status, dates and the BTCPay invoice link, which works as a receipt.
Note: the platform never sees your wallet or its keys. It only receives the invoice status from BTCPay.
